9xmovies | The Best time-killer serials
"Love and Friendship" is a Jane Austen adaptation and the first of its kind, although it is generally accepted that every Jane Austen was filmed at least twice. 9xmovies is a new free entertainment portal where you can download Bollywood and Hollywood movies in high quality. He adapted the book by writing it in the form of letters, as Austen did with Sense and Sensibility, and then rewrote it in its present form.
The story never
became a novel
If I were Austen, I would have
done this to explain the story in a simpler form before writing it in a more
complicated form, but I don't know what Austen's motive was. Unfortunately, the
story was never made into a novel, and the filmmakers never touched it.
Unfortunately, I understand why this was the first attempt at adaptation. I
haven't read the book, but it's clear from this film that the template is very
limited. It's more about information than matching characters and emotions.
The film knows
how to entertain and inform
It's a difficult film to grasp,
especially for fans like me, but most will understand that it's not about what
happens, but about how the characters react, act and how their relationships
with others develop. It is the inner qualities of a person that are most
important, and what happens is only a consequence of that. However, since the
film relies on common information, I have the impression that the inner
thoughts of the characters and their personal experiences of the circumstances
of what happens are almost completely absent, although this is to be expected
in a film.
The case itself
is rarely publicized
It's not that the film tries to limit itself, it just doesn't seem to me to do so creatively enough to reshape the story from second-hand information to first-hand experience. Instead of seeing what happens, we are told what happens. Most scenes take place after an important event in the story when the characters are standing around talking about the event. The event itself rarely becomes a scene; sometimes we see part of the event, but it is always explained by one of the characters, whether we see it or not. This leads to many scenes in which nothing happens.
The scenes are
very scattered
Room and sitting, walking down
the street, going home, sitting in the room, staying in the room. It quickly
becomes boring. There are short dance scenes in the film, but no dialogue. Q:
Is it a Jane Austen adaptation if there is no dialogue while dancing? Also, all
the scenes are very fragmented, as if the filmmakers wanted to skip everything
interesting and show only the scenes in between. What about the dinner scene?
Or the whole dance sequence? Why discuss everything in such a strange place?
Maybe because Jane never revealed the location to us, and they weren't creative
enough to come up with it themselves.
A basic story in a unique setting
I'm not very creative with
Austen, because everything we need is already there, but that's not the point.
These filmmakers could have made up their minds and finished the story before
they decided to do it. It's rare that something needs to be changed. This
brings up an interesting thought: what if this story lived to see several
adaptations, and the filmmakers put the basic story in a unique context each
time? Each film would be completely different! I would love to see that.
Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment.
The protagonist of Lady Susan
Critics were very enthusiastic about the film, which still surprises me, but it's not a bad film. All the salons and play areas are very nice. The costumes are very good, the average for early Austin fashion, which you don't often see. The characters are interesting (thanks to Mrs Austen) and the acting is very good. Kate Beckinsale plays Lady Susan, the main heroine of the book. She has a good insight into Austen's way of thinking, but not a very good one. In my opinion, there should have been more subtitles. I thought the heroine of the story was Lady Suzanne's daughter, but we only see her with her mother.
The lighting and colours were good
If her story had continued we
could have followed the plot development but instead, it was almost overlooked
and the ending, which was her own, was very abrupt and unsatisfactory. I felt I
had achieved nothing, I wanted to identify with the heroine, but as we knew so
little about her, this was impossible. But my aim was to give the film the
recognition it deserved. The lighting and colours were good, so the shots were
not as bad as they could have been. But I felt that when I got a good shot, the
camera faltered.
It was one of the best things I've ever experienced
It was beautiful, but also very
static. It also undermined the script. It was one of the best things because it
came straight from Austin, but it was only used occasionally. Watch the trailer
and you'll see what I'm talking about. The humour and wit were mostly neglected
and forgotten. I'm not a director, but I'm sure the effect would have been much
better if the shots and set pieces had been built around the comedy to enhance
it.
Perhaps he thought he could avoid that
No matter how good the script or how good the actors are, if you put them in a room quietly, point the camera at them and let them say their lines, you won't hear them or the script. Maybe they thought it was artistic. It had a very distinctive and kind of charming style, but that did the film no more good than a nice seat cover. Or maybe screenwriter and director Whit Stillman thought it was arty. Or maybe he thought he could do it.
